full marks to b'ray...

for introducing us to the Japanese grocery in Safdarjung Enclave. We made veg sushi last night with reasonable success (the rice was a bit hard, due to user error). The restaurant "It's Greek To Me" was also a decent discovery, though we didn't explore the menu too deeply. (See comment to my Soba Noodles post for addresses).

'ts Greek... is really quite nice, I do not know how it is doing now, was there last like 5-6 months back and it was nice, laid back and not too crowded and they had the juiciest and tender beef steak I've ever had in town, though it is a bit steep at 275 quid, compared to the 75 quid one at the YMCA, which understandably is much harder to eat and not half as well done.

Isn't Greek a wonderful little restaurant? I've only been there a couple of times -- but wouldn't mind going there again now that I've been reminded about it.

Yes, good old B.Ray is a repository of culinary information. Milk him for all he's worth.

I am trying to find out more about this Japanese market. Do you know the name and address of it? Thanks!

I don't know the name or address, but the Japanese store is in the market in Safdarjung Enclave next to the UNESCO office. Or look up "It's Greek to Me" in one of the numerous restaurant guides put out by Times of India, Hindustan Times, etc.
